Nurse Manager, Radiation Oncology - 218985 (21801724)
Position Overview:
The Manager of Radiation Oncology is responsible for programmatic, operational and daily oversight for all assigned radiation oncology departments, treatment centers, and clinics to include: SCI First Hill, SCI Cherry Hill, SCI Edmonds, and SCI Issaquah.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight of day-to-day departmental operations management and supervision of staff
- Development, maintenance and implementation of departmental policies, processes, and procedures
- Designing and executing initiatives to improve financial performance, patient / clinic flow, & customer service & satisfaction
- Attainment of departmental financial and productivity goals to include the development and administration of assigned budgets
- Maintaining optimal revenue cycle performance for radiation oncology services
- Providing leadership for the development and implementation practices that assure both demonstrable high quality and excellent patient, staff and provider experience
- Professionalism consistent with the organization's Mission, Vision, and Values
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of a radiation therapy technology program, accredited by the Joint Review Committee in Radiologic Technology; or hold a Nursing Baccalaureate degree from an accredited school of Nursing
- 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a management or supervisory capacity
- 5 years of experience in oncology outpatient clinical area of nursing, radiation therapy or departmental management
- Strong communication and leadership skills working with multiple departments, medical staff members and work groups
- Self-motivated with excellent oral/written skills and the ability to organize and perform varied tasks simultaneously and independently
- Team oriented with the ability to function well in a matrix reporting structure
- Licenses and Certifications
- State of Washington, Department of Health, Certified Radiologic Technologist – Therapeutic
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Certified in Radiation Therapy or WA State license to practice as a Registered Nurse
- BLS is preferred
